Be a novice at something. I am new to making stamps or printmaking in general. For years, I had practiced learning something new every summer. I took guitar lessons, golf lessons, Spanish, swimming, etc. I wanted to be a novice and fail at things. I wanted to expand my knowledge. That practice has largely dropped off as I have been learning to be a parent. Before becoming a parent, one of the last classes I took was a workshop on making rubber stamps. This little bike stamp is my jump back into that practice.
